Harlem Globetrotters swish ridiculous helicopter shot

By Alex Butler

Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Bull Bullard pulled off the Harlem Globetrotters' latest antic, sinking a jump shot from a helicopter.

Bullard sank the basket while sitting about 210 feet above the hoop. The Globetrotters released footage of the feat on Tuesday.

He sat in the front seat of the chopper while holding the ball out of the side door. The helicopter flew above Morey's Piers Amusement Parks in Wildwood, N.J., clearing the 150-foot tall ferris wheel.

The chopper then hovered above an isolated basketball hoop before Bullard hurled the ball down with his left hand, draining it through the net. A Globetrotters spokesman told the New York Post that the shot took several attempts.

In 2016, Bullard made a basket at the park while riding 60 mph on the SkyCoaster. That shot was from 110 feet high.

Bullard previously appeared on American Ninja Warrior. He joined the Globetrotters in 2008. He had his first dunk at the age of 13. Bullard was invited to New York Jets rookie camp in 2008, according to his Globetrotters biography page. He attended Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

"The Globetrotters originally drafted him as a dunker, but he has developed his overall game with hard work and has become a terrific dribbler and a consistent long-range shooter, especially with our 4-point shot," the Globetrotters' website says.

The Globetrotters have 7 p.m. games at the Wildwood Convention Center Aug. 16-19.
