Free agent forward Paul Millsap signed a multi-year contract with the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, making official what had been reported earlier.

While the club did not divulge the details, multiple outlets previously reported the agreement was for three years and $90 million.

Millsap talked with the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns before deciding to sign with the Nuggets.

Millsap was an All-Star with the Atlanta Hawks each of the past four seasons.

The 11-year veteran will be paired with budding star center Nikola Jokic, giving the Nuggets the makings of a powerful frontcourt.

The 6-foot-8 Millsap averaged 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last season. He is a strong interior defender, something the Nuggets need after ranking 29th of 30 teams in defensive efficiency last season.

Millsap averaged 24.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the Hawks' first-round playoff loss to the Washington Wizards in April.
