July 6 (UPI) -- Joel Embiid really doesn't like LaVar Ball and explained his sentiment with a pointed expletive toward the boisterous basketball dad Tuesday on Instagram.

"[Expletive] LaVar Ball," Embiid said on the selfie-filmed video.

The dis comes after Ball returned serve on Embiid's request for Philadelphia 76ers teammate Ben Simmons to dunk on Lonzo Ball. LaVar Ball's oldest son was taken with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He'll suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers.

"When you don't win, and don't even make the playoffs, and don't even stay on the court long enough, that's the best thing you can do ... is tweet and make some stuff," Ball said on June on 97.5 The Fanatic.

"Ain't nobody else doing that, because they're working on their games in the gym."

Los Angeles (26-56) had a worse record than Philadelphia (28-54) during the 2016-2017 season.

"These guys ain't played a game, [are] always hurt and at the bottom of the totem pole," Ball said. "So guess what? Get your [butts] off the damn Tweeter, and get in the gym."

After Ball was drafted, Simmons tweeted: "Crazy pills."

Embiid wrote: "Please dunk on him so hard that his daddy runs on the court to save him."

Simmons followed up that request two days later by posting a video of himself dunking.

The Balls have only enhanced their public presence since Lonzo was drafted by the Lakers. After the family appeared on WWE's Monday Night Raw last month, it was announced this week that the Ball's will be getting a Facebook reality series.

The Sixers were 1-1 against the Lakers last season, but the bouts should heat up this season after Embiid's opinions on the Ball family.
