The Washington Wizards reached a contract agreement Sunday with free agent shooting guard Jodie Meeks in an attempt to bolster their bench, according to the firm that represents Meeks.

The ASM Sports agency tweeted a message that said their client is committed to signing with Washington.

According to multiple media reports, the contract will be for two years and $7 million.

Meanwhile, multiple media outlets reported that Washington restricted free agent small forward Otto Porter Jr. received a maximum contract offer from the Sacramento Kings after a meeting. The Wizards would have until Saturday to match what the Kings are offering, four years and approximately $106.5 million.

The Wizards finished 49-33 during the regular season in 2016-17 and lost to the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of an Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Washington currently has one of the best guard combinations in the NBA with All-Star John Wall and Bradley Beal.

The injury-prone Meeks averaged 9.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Orlando Magic last season while playing only half the season after sustaining a thumb injury.

Meeks has played in only 39 of 164 games in the past two seasons.

Meeks' career averages in 454 NBA games are 9.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists since he was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2009.

Porter, a restricted free agent, averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals for the Wizards last season. He shot 51.6 percent from the field, including 43.4 percent from 3-point range, and is considered a good defender.

The Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets may also be meeting with Porter.
