June 25 (UPI) -- Forward Ben Simmons has yet to log an NBA minute, but he recently showed why the Philadelphia 76ers made him the No. 1 overall pick in 2016.

The Australian LSU-product posted a video on Instagram Saturday, taking flight while training shirtless as the Sixers' practice facility in Camden, N.J.

"A little fun after," Simmons wrote on Instagram.

In the video he posted, Simmons tosses a ball off of a wall behind a basketball hoop. He catches it off the bounce with one hand before pulling it back and hammering it through the rim with his left arm.

The dunk could have been a nod to teammate Joel Embiid. Embiid wrote a dis toward Lonzo Ball on Thursday when he was picked No. 2 in the NBA Draft.

"Crazy pills," Simmons tweeted Thursday.

Embiid responded by asking Simmons to dunk on Ball and the Los Angeles Lakers.

"Please dunk on him so hard that his daddy runs on the court to save him," Embiid tweeted in his reply to Simmons.

Simmons, 20, posted 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in his only season for the Tigers. He was a consensus All-American, leading the SEC in two-point field goals, rebounds and player efficiency rating.
