Markelle Fultz, the widely projected No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft, will only hold a private workout with the Boston Celtics, who own the No. 1 pick, according to a report from The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Fultz, the 19-year-old guard out of Washington who is currently visiting Boston for a reported two-day meeting and workout with the Celtics, passed on an opportunity to work out for the Philadelphia 76ers, who have the No. 3 overall pick.

"The Sixers have workouts scheduled for every top prospect besides Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball. Fultz will only workout for (the Boston Celtics)," Inquirer 76ers reporter Keith Pompey tweeted Tuesday morning.

Ball, a guard out of UCLA and the consensus No. 2 pick in this year's draft, declined an invitation to work out for the Celtics last month.

Fultz previously stated his desire to be the top pick in the draft, telling ESPN, "I want to be the No. 1 pick really badly. It's been a dream of mine since I was a little kid, and I feel I would fit well in Boston."

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 23.2 points on 47.6 percent shooting along with 5.9 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals over 25 games during his freshman season in 2016-17 with the Huskies, who posted a 9-22 record.
