LOS ANGELES - Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert sustained a left knee sprain less than 20 seconds into Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday at Staples Center.

Gobert went down clutching his left knee after apparently bumping knees with Clippers forward Luc Mbah a Moute. Gobert was setting a pick for Jazz forward Gordon Hayward when he and Mbah a Moute collided.

Gobert had to be helped off the court and carried into the locker room. He was ruled out for the rest of Saturday's game and his availability for Game 2 is unknown.

The 24-year-old averaged 14 points, 12.8 rebounds and a league-leading 2.6 blocks per game during the regular season. He appeared in 81 games during his fourth season and his 66.1 field goal percentage was second in the league to Clippers center DeAndre Jordan
