Forward LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs is out indefinitely because of an occurrence of a minor heart arrhythmia, the team announced Saturday.

"All parties have concluded that at the current time it is best for Aldridge to refrain from play until further tests and examinations are completed," the Spurs said in a press release.

At the end of his rookie season with the Portland Trail Blazers in April 2007, Aldridge was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which is an abnormality that can cause a rapid heartbeat.

Aldridge, 31, underwent a procedure to fix the problem and missed the final nine games of the season. Four years later, he underwent the same procedure and missed time at the start of the 2011-12 season when there was a recurrence of his condition.

The 6-foot-11, 260-pound Aldridge, a five-time All-Star, is in his second season with the Spurs after nine campaigns with the Trail Blazers.

Aldridge is averaging 17.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots in 58 games this season.

The Spurs also said point guards Tony Parker (back stiffness) and Dejounte Murray (groin tightness) will not play in Saturday night's home game against the Golden State Warriors.

Forward Kawhi Leonard already was out because of a concussion.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced Friday that All-Stars Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson and top reserve Andre Iguodala will be rested for the game in San Antonio.

The Warriors also recalled rookie center Damian Jones from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League and he will be in uniform for the Spurs game.
