The Philadelphia 76ers traded forward Ersan Ilyasova to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

The Hawks sent center Tiago Splitter to the 76ers, and Philadelphia also got a second-round pick (originally from the Miami Heat) and the right to swap other 2017 second-round selections with Atlanta.

Ilyasova, a 29-year-old journeyman, began the season with the Oklahoma City Thunder before being traded to the 76ers. He is averaging a career-best 14.3 points and 5.9 rebounds this season.

"I want to thank Ersan Ilyasova for his positive contributions to this organization both on and off the basketball court," 76ers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo said in a statement. "Ersan is a true professional whose daily examples of hard work, focus and consistency have helped facilitate the ongoing growth of our program and culture."

Hawks coach and president of basketball operations Mike Budenholzer said in a statement, "We are excited to welcome Ersan, and his family, to the Atlanta Hawks. He's a high-character, proven veteran who we've liked for many years and believe fits well within our system.

"We also want to thank Tiago for his contributions on and off the court. We wish him all the best in the future."

Splitter, a 32-year-old Brazilian big man, spent his first five seasons with the San Antonio Spurs before being traded to the Hawks and re-signing with the team. He has yet to play this season because of a hamstring injury.

The 76ers also are reportedly considering trading star big man Jahlil Okafor. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Chicago Bulls were trying to acquire Okafor and were engaged in continuing discussions with Philadelphia.

The 76ers have struggled to find a working rotation with Okafor, Embiid and Nerlens Noel in the frontcourt.

Okafor, 21, is averaging 11.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, all lower totals than he posted as a rookie last season.
