Watch: LeBron James pays up for Dwyane Wade's Chicago Cubs bet

By Alex Butler

CHICAGO, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- It's not often you see a 6-foot, 8-inch 250-pound man wearing a baseball uniform.

But bets are bets and that's why LeBron James sported the Chicago Cubs full home white pinstriped kit Friday while walking into the United Center. The Cleveland Cavaliers are in town to face Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls.

Wade and James made a bet on the World Series in October that if the Cleveland Indians won, Wade would sport the team's jersey. If the Cubs won, James would have the flaunt the pinstriped threads. The Cubs pulled off the historic victory in extra innings.

"Yes sir!!! A bet is a bet. @kingjames I thank you in advance for being a good sport about this one bud!!! Oh and I can't wait to see what kind of WINE you're sending as well. #winningfeelsgood #ThankyouCubbies," Wade wrote on Instagram last month.

"I'm not wearing cleats," James told reporters Thursday. "I got a basketball game to play. No glove. Just the uniform. I will be in uniform."

"It's a bet," James said. "You have to fulfill your bet. Nothing more to it."

The 13-4 Cavaliers tip off against the 10-7 Bulls at 8 p.m. in Chicago. Wade, 34, is averaging 18.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3 assists per game in his first season with the Bulls. James, 31, is averaging 23.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 9.1 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
