SAN ANTONIO, July 4 (UPI) -- While the Golden State Warriors look to run and gun, the San Antonio Spurs are set with an old school approach.

On Monday, the Spurs agreed to a deal that will pair Pau Gasol with LaMarcus Aldridge and MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard, according to multiple sources.

The Spurs added to an already tough defense with the two-year, $30 million Gasol deal. Tim Duncan is allegedly considering retirement.

Gasol, 35, averaged 16.5 points and 11 rebounds last season for the Chicago Bulls. He is a six-time All-Star and has two NBA titles.
