Ish Smith signs with Detroit Pistons, 10th team in seven seasons,

DETROIT, July 1 (UPI) -- In the shadow of Andre Drummond's mega-deal with the Detroit Pistons, Ish Smith also cashed in.

The point guard signed a three-year deal with the Pistons worth $18 million. He will likely serve as the primary backup to Reggie Jackson. Keith Pompey, of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported the terms of the deal.

Smith, 27, averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4 rebounds per game last season for the New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers. When Smith suits up for the Pistons, it will be the 10th different NBA jersey he has worn in just seven seasons.

Jackson, 26, averaged 18.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds last season in the Motor City.
