Iman Shumpert: "It felt good to beat [Stephen Curry]"

CLEVELAND, June 30 (UPI) -- Cleveland might have abstained from mirroring Golden State's championship parade jabs from last season, but the ripples are still in the water.

On Tuesday, Iman Shumpert was the one throwing rocks.

While working at his youth basketball camp in Oak Park, Illinois, the Cavaliers guard was asked about guarding Stephen Curry during the NBA Finals.

Shumpert took advantage of the softball question: "What's it like to guard Steph Curry?" His response during the question and answer session was simply: "It felt good to beat him," according to the Pioneer Press.

Curry averaged 30.1 points this season and hit 45 percent of his 3-point attempts, making an NBA record 402. He averaged 25.1 points per game and hit 40 percent of his 3-point attempts in the playoffs. Curry averaged 22.6 points per game and shot 40 percent from 3-point range in the NBA Finals. Shumpert averaged 3 points per game in the NBA Finals.

Shumpert celebrated his 26th birthday last Sunday. He also threw some shade at the Warriors on Twitter last week.
