Derek Fisher destroying frozen embryos, paying ex-wife $1.3 million annually in divorce

NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- Former Los Angeles Lakers guard and New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher is paying up in several ways in his divorce settlement.

According to TMZ, as part of a the settlement with wife Candace, following a decade-long marriage, Fisher will pay $1.3 million annually in spousal support and $15,000 monthly in child support. The couple also agreed to destroy frozen embryos it had saved during their relationship.

Fisher filed for divorce last month.

Fisher's social media activity has been suspect during the rift, as he posted photos of Memphis Grizzlies small forward Matt Barnes' estranged wife Gloria Govan, and Barnes' sons, on his Instagram account, sparking rumors of an affair.

The Knicks fired Fisher, 41, in February. He held a 40-96 record in two seasons with the team.

Barnes, 36, averaged 10 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 76 games for the Grizzlies.
