SAN ANTONIO, June 28 (UPI) -- A 39-year-old NBA legend could keep dribbling next season for the San Antonio Spurs, according to multiple sources.

Tim Duncan, who has won five championships with the Spurs, will become a free agent Wednesday.

The Spurs have been "operating under the premise" that Duncan will return for his 19th season, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Spurs guard Tony Parker said that he believes both Manu Ginobli and Duncan will be back.

"I think they're both going to play one more year," Parker told the San Antonio Express-News on Wednesday.

"I've talked to them and told them what I think," Parker told the Express-News "Now it's their decision. It's a very personal decision."

The 15-time All-Star averaged 13.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 3 assists in 77 games last season. A total of 10 Spurs will have expiring contracts Wednesday.

The Spurs are poised for an active offseason, looking to re-sign restricted free agent Kawhi Leonard and go after free agent LaMarcus Aldridge.
