Kevin Garnett blows in ear, draws foul, loses game

By Andrew V. Pestano

NEW YORK, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Succeeding where Lance Stephenson failed, Brooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Garnett was able to draw a technical foul in bizarre style.

Garnett, 38, fouled Indiana Pacer's power forward David West, got up to his face and then blew into his ear. West had an instant reaction and pushed Garnett away, earning West an immediate technical foul. The two were separated by game officials after a heated exchange of words.

"I didn't like that. I didn't like it," West said after the game. "I just know it was too close and I didn't like it. It was just too much. I don't really play them games. We're out there to play basketball, so let's play basketball."

Although successful in his attempt to get under West's skin to draw a foul, the Nets were defeated 110-85 at home by the Pacers.

"Everybody was kinda looking at me trying to figure out what made me push him or whatever, but he blew in my face, an aggressive blow at that. I think Lance's was more sensual, you know?," West said.

Known for raucous behavior, Garnett was seen trying to bite Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah last month.
