When Pittsburgh's Francisco Cervelli singled to right field with two on and one out in the fifth, Brewers right fielder Domingo Santana gunned down Chad Kuhl at home plate. Kuhl collided with Vogt while attempting to score.

Vogt remained down for a few minutes before leaving the field through the Pirates' dugout. Manny Pina replaced him behind the plate.

In 12 games with the Brewers this season, Vogt is hitting .250 with four home runs and nine RBIs. Milwaukee claimed him off waivers from the Oakland Athletics on June 25.
