June 25 (UPI) -- At times this season, 'The Freeze' has looked unstoppable. But Atlanta Braves fans have beaten him in a race twice this month.

Saturday 'The Freeze' suffered his third loss of the year in the between innings race on the warning track at SunTrust Park.

Nigel 'The Freeze' Talton gave the fan a standard head start, stretching to almost centerfield from the left field line. But this time 'The Freeze' couldn't close the gap.

'The Freeze' also lost in a race against a speedy fan on June 16.

The June 16 race wasn't very close, as the fan shot out of the gate and kept his lead throughout. In Saturday's edition, 'The Freeze' lined up against his foe in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Braves leading 3-1 against the Milwaukee Brewers. He gave the competitor a gigantic lead and began to close the gap, but the race was primed for a photo finish. The fan neared the finish line with just enough distance to edge 'The Freeze,' breaking the tape and edging the baseball sensation by a nose-length.

The Braves have had better luck than 'The Freeze' as of late, winning seven of their last eight games.

Active and former baseball players have challenged 'The Freeze' to races this season, but he hasn't accepted any of the offers.

The Braves' grounds crew member was a track star in high school and college.

'The Freeze' typically makes fans bite the dust, sometimes literally. The lucky fan Saturday cashed in for $500 for his efforts.
