By Alex Butler

May 26 (UPI) -- Don't act like you're not impressed. The Chicago Cubs arrived for its West Coast road trip wearing Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy themed outfits.

This is far from the first time that Joe Maddon has rubbed off his laid-back managing style on the Cubs. The team has previously worn Halloween costumes, formal wear and leisure suits to its games.

On Thursday, the Cubs dressed as characters from the 2004 Will Ferrell comedy. Kyle Schwarber dressed as Champ Kind. Anthony Rizzo sported an afro wig. Other Cubs stars wore cowboy hats and old-fashioned shoes, including Carl Edwards Jr., who wore a sweet turquoise number. Kris Bryant wore a white suit covered in Cubs logos.

"It's the Ron Burgundy slash Brick Tamland -- and I also wanted to include Tommy La Stella tribute -- road trip, where 60 percent of the time works every time, sponsored by 'Sex Panther' cologne trip," Maddon told MLB.com.

Maddon said La Stella reminds him of Tamland, the character played by Steve Carell in Anchorman.
