March 24 (UPI) -- All-Star pitcher Jake Arrieta already owns the mound, but he's not too shabby at the plate either.

The Chicago Cubs starter has four career home runs. On Thursday he showed his true strength in a showdown with Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke.

On his first swing of the year, Arrieta connected for a 465-foot home run to left center field.

He drove in another run in the sixth inning. The game finished tied at 5-5. Arrieta, the 2015 Cy Young Award winner went 18-8 last year with a 3.10 ERA in 31 starts for the Cubs.
