Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Right-handed outfielder Ryan Raburn hit just .220 last season, but the 35-year-old still earned an invitation to spring training.

Raburn will join the Cincinnati Reds this offseason in Arizona on a minor league contract, according to MLB.com. The 11-year veteran will meet up with the Reds' big-league camp as a non-roster player when he passes his physical. Raburn will cash in for a $900,000 base salary if he makes the team.

The Detroit Tigers drafted Raburn in the fifth round of the 2001 amateur. He was released in 2012, before signing in 2013 with the Cleveland Indians. Raburn signed on in March with the Colorado Rockies. He earned $1.5 million from the Rockies last season and had a $100,000 buyout from the Indians. The University of Florida product is a career .253 hitter with 91 home runs.

Raburn has experience at all three outfield positions, first base, second dbase, third base, and pitcher.
