Los Angeles Angels OF Kole Calhoun gets 3-year extension

Outfielder Kole Calhoun agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Angels, plus a club option for 2020, the team announced on Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the Orange County Register reported the deal is worth $26 million.

Calhoun, who earned $3.4 million in 2016, batted .271 with 18 home runs and 75 RBIs in 157 games last season.

The 29-year-old recorded career highs in runs scored (91), doubles (35), triples (five) and walks (67) while matching a personal best with 161 hits.
