After spending years with him as manager of the Cincinnati Reds, Baker could be reunited with Aroldis Chapman in Washington.

Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post reported that the Nationals "want in on" Chapman. The Nationals are reportedly not willing to give up Lucas Giolito, Trea Turner, Victor Robles, or Reynaldo Lopez in any trade for the closer.

Chapman, 28, is due $11.3 million this season and hits free agency in 2017. Chapman, known for his triple digit fastballs, has 19 saves, 40 strikeouts, and a 2.22 ERA in 29 games this season for the Yankees.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Buster Olney reported that other executives said that the Yankees are going "full bore" in finding trades for Chapman. ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reported that the Cleveland Indians are also interested in the dominant lefty.
