Cincinnati Reds manager booted before game

By Alex Butler

CINCINNATI, May 24 (UPI) -- Bryan Price, who once closed in on 80 'F'-words in a rant against the media this season, is at it again. But this time the Cincinnati Reds manager managed to get kicked out of a game Saturday before the first pitch was even thrown.

As he went to hand in the lineup card for an afternoon game against the Cleveland Indians, Price shared some animated words with crew chief Jim Reynolds before being tossed.

"It was just hangover from [Friday], that was all," Price told MLB.com.

Price said the argument regarded ball and strike calls in Friday's contest, a 7-3 loss.

"It's just things left unsaid yesterday that were said today," Price told MLB.com.

The Reds, who lost 2-1 Saturday, have lost seven straight games.
