Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming has been made the early 4-5 favorite for the 142nd Preakness Stakes on Saturday.

Always Dreaming, who is ridden by John Velazquez and trained by Todd Pletcher, will start from the No. 4 post position -- just inside of chief rival Classic Empire in the 10-horse field. Thirteen winners have started from that post, with Curlin in 2007 being the most recent.

Post positions were drawn Wednesday at Pimlico.

Classic Empire, who finished fourth at the Kentucky Derby, has been set as the early 3-1 second choice for the 1 3/16-mile race. He will start in the fifth gate.

Lookin At Lee, who finished second at Churchill Downs, received 10-1 odds and drew the No. 9 post.

Always Dreaming won the Kentucky Derby by 2 3/4 lengths over the 1 1/4-mile track in 2 minutes, 3.59 seconds.
