Amy Yang leads by four at LPGA Thailand as play suspended

South Korean Amy Yang, who still has five holes left in her third round, will take a four-shot lead into Sunday at the LPGA Thailand in Chonburi, Thailand.

Third-round play on Saturday was suspended due to darkness at 6:21 local time with 10 groups still on the Pattaya Old Course.

"My shot was good. You know, I'm hitting good all week," said Yang, who was 6 under through 13 holes in the suspended round for a 17-under total. "Tomorrow again I'll, you know, finish third round. I'll try to do just one shot at time, hole by hole."

Due to a weather delay and the resulting unplayable course conditions on Friday, players had to resume their second rounds on Saturday morning.

First-round co-leaders Yang and Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand were unable to tee off on Friday. Yang shot a 5-under 67 in the second round to take a one-shot lead over Jutanugarn (68) and China's Shanshan Feng (67).

The third round got underway at 11 a.m. local time but was delayed at 3:12 p.m. due to inclement weather in the area. Players returned to the course at 4:53 p.m. after a one-hour, 41-minute delay.

Yang holds the lead over fellow South Korean So Yeon Ryu, who posted a 4-under 68 to move into solo second at 13 under.

Jodi Ewart Shadoff of England (through 17 holes) and South Korean Sei Young Kim (through 13 holes) share third place at 11 under.

Sisters Ariya Jutanugarn (through 13 holes) and Moriya Jutanugarn (through 17 holes) lead the way for the Thai contingency this week, sitting in a tie for the fifth at 10 under.

Play will resume Sunday morning with the final round scheduled to begin at 9:38 local time.
