SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- The PGA issued a formal apology to Colt Knost, Joe Summerhays and Yuta Ikeda of Japan after Friday's hole location at the par-4, 460-yard No. 10 was inaccurately positioned and listed.

According to a PGA statement, the hole -- which was cut on the right side of the green -- was intended to be on the left.

Ikeda and Knost both bogeyed the hole, but Ikeda went on to post a five-birdie 67 and is at 3-under 137 through two rounds.

Knost carded a second-round 73, dropping him to 2-over 142.

Summerhays, a PGA club professional and the cousin of Daniel Summerhays, parred No. 10 and shot a 73 to bring him to 9-over 149.

Subsequent groupings were informed of the error.

Kerry Haigh, the PGA's chief championships officer, personally apologized to Knost, Summerhays and Ikeda once they had completed their rounds
