Rick Pitino: Louisville basketball coach makes big impression in tiny Lamar Jackson jersey

By Alex Butler

Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino was sporting a very snug Lamar Jackson jersey Saturday before the Cardinals faced the Clemson Tigers in Kentucky.

Pitino walked around campus wearing the black and red No. 8 jersey before stepping onto the set of ESPN's College GameDay.

The coach sported the authentic uniform with a pair of Yeezys.

"I can't breathe," Pitino told ESPN. "This is his real jersey."

While Pitino is listed at about 6-feet tall, Jackson is 6-foot-3 and 211 pounds.

Pitino turns 65-years-old on Monday. He told ESPN that if Jackson was a member of his basketball team, he would play point guard. The coach picked the Cardinals to upset Clemson.

Twitter users went off about Pitino squeezing on the snug shirt. Some said that he was wearing an "extra smedium" while others claimed he looked like he was about to ride in the Tour de France. Another user said that Pitino's jersey was vacuum-sealed to his body.

Pitino's son, Richard Pitino, posted a photo of his dad wearing the jersey on his Twitter account. He simply posted an emoji of a face palm for the caption. Richard Pitino is the men's basketball coach at the University of Minnesota.

The Cardinals begin the 2017 basketball season with an Oct. 30 matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan in Louisville.
