The Huskies reportedly kept the ailment quiet as they didn't want opponents to know the shoulder was bothering Browning.

Browning was highly ineffective in Washington's 24-7 loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Dec. 31. He was just 20-of-38 passing for 150 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Browning concluded his sophomore season with 3,430 yards, second most in school history. He also tied the Pac-12 record with 43 touchdown passes and was intercepted just nine times.
