Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Tommy Tuberville is stepping down after four seasons, according to multiple reports Sunday.
The 62-year-old Tuberville was 29-22 at Cincinnati, including 4-8 overall and just 1-7 in the American Athletic Conference this season.

There was speculation that Tuberville could be fired on Dec. 7, the day his buyout reduces by $900,000 from $2.4 million to $1.5 million, according to ESPN.
Tuberville left Texas Tech to take the Cincinnati job in 2012. He was 159-99 in 21 seasons as a head coach at Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech and Cincinnati.
Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm, Western Michigan's PJ Fleck and Troy's Neal Brown are mentioned as leading candidates to replace Tuberville.
