Oklahoma cornerback Jordan Thomas was arrested early Thursday morning on charges of assault and battery, public intoxication and interference with a police officer.

Thomas, 20, was booked into the Cleveland County Jail in Norman at 2:45 a.m. CT and was reportedly released at 11:13. Charges haven't yet been filed.

"We are aware of it and will monitor the situation and act accordingly," Oklahoma athletic department spokesman Mike Houck told various news outlets.

The incident continues a troublesome pattern for Thomas, who was suspended twice last season as a sophomore. He missed a game against Tulsa for an undisclosed violation and also sat out the opening quarter of the season-opening contest against Akron.

He also spent one night in jail last December after he failed to appear in court for a speeding ticket.

Thomas had five interceptions and 46 tackles last season while being named a second-team All-Big 12 selection.
