TUSCALOOSA, Ala., June 28 (UPI) -- The top junior college kicker in the country is showing off just why Alabama coach Nick Saban sought his skills.

On Sunday, Eddy Pineiro posted a video to his Twitter account, showcasing him rip a kick 73-yards through the uprights.

"Broke my personal best record with a 73 yarder today," Pineiro tweeted.

Pineiro committed to the Crimson Tide Thursday. He currently kicks for ASA College in Miami. Pineiro also received offers from Florida and Miami. Pineiro is listed at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds.

"Alabama has everything," Pineiro told AL.com last week. "It has great facilities, great stadium and coach Saban feels like I can make it to the NFL."

The Crimson Tide finished 12-2 last season, with kicker Adam Griffith hitting 12 of 19 field goals for 63.2 percent. In 2013, Cade Foster hit 70 percent of his field goals.

Pineiro was set to play soccer at Florida Atlantic, but was not cleared academically by the NCAA, resulting in his enrollment into junior college.
