COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 26 (UPI) -- It only takes one click to draw scrutiny from peers when you play quarterback for a major college football program.

That's what happened for Ohio State University quarterback Braxton Miller, who posted a photo on his Instagram account Tuesday night, promoting himself as a distributor for AdvoCare products, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

Miller deleted the post shortly after he posted it, but told the Columbus Dispatch that he has already spoken to the university's compliance office. In the post, Miller sits with another man with an arsenal of Advocare products sandwiched between them. The other individual in the photo is Brandon Oshodin, owner of Authentik Fitness. The photo discription also lists Miller's distributor email.

Miller is also shown in the gym with a crew of Advocare distributers and users on a trainer's Instagram. On that photo: #Advocare is one of the hashtags.

"We are aware of it," an Ohio State spokesman told ESPN Wednesday. "We are looking into it."

An OSU athletic department spokesman told the Dispatch that the compliance office has not issued a statement on if the photo and name association constitutes an NCAA rules violation. Miller suffered a shoulder injury in August and missed the Buckeyes' 2014 national championship season.

Student-athletes are allowed to have outside employment, according to NCAA rules, but players "can't use high-profile status in an effort to personally profit," according to ESPN.

Miller heads into this season in a quarterback battle with J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones for the Buckeyes.

Miller has completed 395 of 66 passes for 5,292 yards and 52 touchdowns in 36 career games at Ohio State. He has completed 59.3 percent of his tosses and has a rating of 146.7. The dual-threat also has 3,054 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns for the Buckeyes. Miller has twice been named Big Ten offensive player of the year.
