LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- It goes without saying where Deion Sanders Jr. and Barry Sanders inherited their athletic prowess, but lately college football recruits are emerging from the recording studio.

Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus joined Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs' son, Justin Combs, after signing his letter of intent Wednesday to play for the UCLA Bruins football team.

Broadus is a 6-foot, 2-inch, 195-pound wide receiver from Las Vegas powerhouse Bishop Gorman. Combs was a sophomore walk-on, who played quarterback in high school. Snoop Dogg, or Calvin Broadus, is a noted USC fan, but said he will ditch his Trojan's gear for Bruins blue.

"I'm throwing all my USC drawers away," Snoop Dogg said on ESPN's live telecast. "I'm going UCLA 1,000 percent."

"I feel that UCLA is the best fit for me," Broadus said during the ESPNU announcement. "I had the offer since my nine-grade year, so I had a great connection with the coaches. I just want to play in front of my family and keep ballin' out on the field and get a great degree."
