Hurd's pick six with 3:33 to play capped a 21-point fourth quarter for the Aggies (9-4), who came into the game sharing the No. 21 ranking with the Blue Devils (10-4).
Hurd gave the Aggies their only lead of the game with his 55-yard dash to the end zone. Texas A&M picked off their second pass of the game with 1:18 to play to seal the victory.
Johnny Manziel completed 30-of-38 passes for 382 yards and four touchdowns, all of which came in the second half as the Aggies roared back from a 38-17 halftime deficit. Travis Labhart caught three of Manziel's scoring strikes.
Duke's Anthony Boone also threw for three touchdowns as part of a 427-yard performance and added an 11-yard TD run in the second quarter that staked the Blue Devils to a 21-3 lead. Duke scored only 10 points in the second half.
When the dust settled, Duke had churned out 661 total offensive yards to 541 for the Texans.
