SHREVEPORT, La., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns Tuesday while leading the Arizona Wildcats to a 42-19 AdvoCare V100 Bowl win over Boston College.

Carey scored the game's first points in a 2-yard run at 7:51 of the first period and added a 5-yard scoring burst early in the third period that put Arizona (8-5) ahead 28-6.

B.J. Denker connected with Trey Griffey for a pair of scoring passes and ran for another to feed the Wildcats' rout. Arizona scored a second-quarter TED on a 69-yard interception return by William Parks.

Carey's 165 yards came on 28 carries and surpassed the 146 total yards rushing by Boston College (7-6).

After Carey's first touchdown, Nate Freeze had 32- and 41-yard field goals for the Eagles but Parks stepped in front of a Chase Rettig pass, picked it off and went untouched down the left sideline for a 14-6 Arizona lead.

Just before halftime Denker and Griffey teamed for a 26-yard score and 21-6 Wildcats' lead.

Carey and Denker ran for third-period scores and Denker pushed the Arizona lead to 42-6 with a 3-yard toss to Griffey with 13:40 to play.
