COL FB: San Diego State 49, Buffalo 24

BOISE, Idaho, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Adam Muema ran for 229 yards and scored three touchdowns Saturday, carrying San Diego State over Buffalo 49-24 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Muema carried 28 times and scored on runs of 3, 8 and 30 yards for the Aztecs (8-5) who piled up 462 yards of total offense and notched their first post-season win since the 2010 Poinsettia Bowl.

Quinn Kaehler completed 15-of-28 passes for 211 yards with a pair of scores and also ran for a touchdown.

Joe Licata went 13-of-30 through the air for 196 yards, three TDs and an interception for the Bulls (8-5).

Branden Oliver picked up 114 rushing yards on 28 carries for Buffalo.
