Mariota, thought to be among the leaders in the 2014 draft class, said he will instead play again for Oregon after guiding the team to a 10-2 mark and an upcoming bowl selection.
Calling it "an honor" to be an Oregon student, the signal-caller said, "I look forward to earning my degree next year and to the rest of my career at this great university."
Mariota set a single-season school record with 3,994 yards of total offense this season and has racked up 6,089 passing yards with 62 TDs and just 10 interceptions over his two seasons with Oregon.
