1. Alabama (10-0) won at Mississippi State (4-6) 20-7

2. Florida State (10-0) defeated Syracuse (5-5) 59-3

3. Ohio State (10-0) won at Illinois (3-7) 60-35

4. Baylor (9-0) defeated Texas Tech (7-4), 63-34, at Arlington, Texas

5. Stanford (8-2) lost at Southern California (8-3) 20-17

6. Clemson (9-1) defeated Georgia Tech (6-4) 55-31, Thursday

7. Oregon (9-1) vs. Utah (4-6) 44-21

8. Missouri (9-1) was idle.

9. Auburn (10-1) defeated vs. Georgia (6-4) 43-38

10. Oklahoma State (9-1) won at No. 24 Texas (7-3), 38-13

11. Texas A&M (8-2) was idle.

12. South Carolina (8-2) defeated Florida (4-6) 19-14

13. Louisville (9-1)defeated Houston (7-3) 20-13

14. Fresno State (9-0) was idle.

15. UCLA (8-2) defeated Washington, (6-4) 41-31, Friday

16. Michigan State (9-1) won at Nebraska (7-3) 41-28

17. Oklahoma (8-2) defeated Iowa State (1-9) 48-10

18. Louisiana State (7-3) was idle.

19. Central Florida (8-1) won at Temple (1-9) 39-36

20. Wisconsin (8-2) defeated Indiana (4-6) 51-3

21. Northern Illinois (10-0) defeated Ball State (9-2) 48-27, Wednesday

23. Miami (Fla.) (7-3) lost at Duke (8-2) 48-20

24. Texas (7-3) lost to No. 10 Oklahoma State (9-1) 38-13

25. Minnesota (8-2) was idle.
