Hardin-Simmons receiver Taylor Huff struck, killed by car

ABILENE, Texas, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Taylor Huff, a senior receiver on Hardin-Simmons University's football team, was struck by a vehicle and killed, police in Abilene, Texas, said.

Huff, 21, was walking alone before dawn Sunday when he was struck from behind and died at the scene, police Sgt. Will Ford said.

No charges were expected to be filed against the motorist, Ford added.

Huff played in eight games for the Abilene college this season and had three catches for 34 yards. He played in 19 games during his college career, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Monday.
