KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Tre Mason ran for three touchdowns Saturday to help power 10th-ranked Auburn to a 55-23 over Tennessee.
Mason ate up 117 yards on 10 carries and quarterback Nick Marshall ran in a pair of touchdowns in the Tigers (9-1, 5-1 SEC) sixth consecutive victory.
Marshall threw for 214 yards on seven passes, including a 25-yard touchdown toss to C.J. Uzomah in the first quarter.
Joshua Dubs went 16-of-25 for 128 yards (4-6, 1-5) for the Volunteers. Rajion Neal ran the ball 20 times for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Auburn finished with 444 rushing yards compared to 354 total offensive yards for the Volunteers.
Tennessee got a pair of field goals from Michael Palardy for a 6-6 tie at the end of the first quarter, but it was all Auburn after that. The Tigers led 34-20 at halftime and held the Vols to a field goal in the second half.
