GAINESVILLE, Fla., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Florida offensive tackle Tyler Moore will miss the rest of season after breaking his elbow in a scooter accident, Gators Coach Will Muschamp said Wednesday.
Muschamp said during a conference call Moore was hurt Tuesday while riding home from practice near campus, the Gainesville (Fla.) Sun reported.
"Unfortunately, last night, Tyler Moore was riding home on his scooter and he came around a curve and the back tire came out from underneath him and he has a compound fracture of his elbow," Muschamp said. "He's in surgery as we speak.
"So he'll be out for the season, and we'll know about his prognosis and how long after the surgery, obviously."
The mishap was the latest in a series of offensive line injures for the Gators (4-4, 3-3 SEC).
Before his injury, Moore was starting at right tackle in place of Chaz Green (torn labrum). Left tackle after D.J. Humphries (sprained knee ligament) is out after getting hurt in practice last week.
