The Spartans limited Michigan to just 168 yards of total offense.

Fowler finished with six catches for 75 yards and Jeremy Langford ran for 120 yards with a score on 26 carries for Michigan State.

Quarterback Devin Gardner lost 46 yards on 18 rushing tries for the Wolverines (6-2, 2-2), who broke a 51-year-old school record for the lowest rushing total in a game.
