COL FB: Florida State 49, North Carolina State 17

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Jameis Winston fired three touchdown passes Saturday and third-ranked Florida State stayed on a roll with a 49-17 rout of North Carolina State.

Winston went 16-of-26 through the air for 292 yards and Devonta Freeman racked up 92 yards on 12 carries with two rushing TDs for the Seminoles (7-0, 5-0 ACC), who scored 35 points in the first quarter and cruised from there.

Rashad Greene led FSU's receiving corps with eight catches for 137 yards and a score.

The Seminoles will play at home next week against unbeaten Miami-Florida.

The Wolfpack (3-4, 0-4) fell for a third straight game.

Brandon Mitchell was held to 128 passing yards on 17-of-33 efficiency, while Shardrach Thornton rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries for N.C. State.
