STANFORD, Calif., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Kodi Whitfield made a spectacular touchdown catch in third quarter Saturday and No. 13 Stanford went on to record a 24-10 over 10th-ranked UCLA.

Whitfield's acrobatic, 30-yard scoring grab between two defenders gave Stanford a 10-3 lead and the Cardinal (6-1, 4-1 Pac-12) used the momentum to rebound from its first defeat of the season last week, a 27-21 loss at Utah.

Kevin Hogan passed for 226 yards with an interception and Tyler Gaffney rushed for 166 yards and a pair of scores as Stanford racked up its 13th straight home win.

Brett Hundley tossed two interceptions, including one in the fourth quarter, as the previously unbeaten Bruins (5-1, 2-1) dropped a sixth straight against the Cardinal.
