COL FB: Alabama 45, Georgia State 3

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Oct. 5 (UPI) -- AJ McCarron played only five offensive series but threw four touchdown passes to lead top-ranked Alabama past Georgia State 45-3 Saturday.

McCarron completed 15-of-16 throws for 166 yards before giving way to Blake Sims, who didn't miss a beat, completing 14-of-18 passes for 130 yards and a TD.

T.J. Yeldon ran for 51 yards and a touchdown for the Crimson Tide (5-0), who gained 477 total yards to 175 yards for Georgia State (0-5).

The Panthers amassed a mere 15 yards on the ground and a 53-yard field goal by Wil Lutz in the third quarter. Ronnie Bell completed 11-of-20 passes for 146 yards.
