LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Matt Jones ran for 176 yards with a touchdown on 28 carries Saturday, sparking No. 19 Florida to a 24-7 victory over Kentucky.

Jones also made three catches for 20 yards for the Gators (3-1, 2-0 SEC), who recorded a 27th straight win over the Wildcats.

Tyler Murphy went 15-of-18 through the air for 156 yards, a touchdown and an interception, connecting with Trey Burton on a 9-yard scoring strike to put Florida ahead for good at 14-7 in the second quarter.

The signal-caller also rushed seven times for 36 yards with a score while Burton finished with six grabs for 66 yards.

Maxwell Smith completed 12-of-20 passes for 90 yards and an interception for Kentucky (1-3, 0-1).
