CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Freshman Jameis Winston threw for four touchdowns and ran for a team-high 68 yards Saturday, sparking No. 8 Florida State to a 48-34 win over Boston College.
Winston made good on 17-of-27 passes for 329 yards with just one interception while carrying the ball 14 times for the Seminoles (4-0, 2-0 ACC), who racked up 487 yards of total offense.
Rashad Greene corralled two of Winston's scoring passes en route to 90 receiving yards and Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw combined for 193 more.
The Eagles (2-2, 1-1) were led by Chase Rettig, who also tossed for four scores on 19-of-29 efficiency with two interceptions.
Andre Williams picked up 149 rushing yards on 28 carries for Boston College.
