  |   Sept. 23, 2013 at 7:09 AM
MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Alabama heads into a game against No. 21 Mississippi just short of winning unanimous acclaim as the No. 1 team in the USA Today college football coaches' poll.

The Crimson Tide (3-0) pull in 59 of the 62 first-place votes and are listed second on the other three ballots for a second consecutive week. Oregon (3-0) receives the other first-place mentions and is again No. 2.

There are minor changes in the poll this week. The only change among the first 13 teams sees Louisiana State going from seventh to sixth, switching places with Florida State.

Michigan slips three spots to 17th in the biggest move of the week.

Wisconsin and Texas Tech enter the Top 25 and Arizona State and Michigan State fall out of the rankings.

Ohio State (4-0) is third followed by No. 4 Clemson (3-0) and fifth-ranked Stanford (3-0). LSU (4-0) and Louisville (4-0) come in ahead of eighth-ranked Florida State (4-0) while No. 9 Texas A&M (3-1) and 10th-ranked Georgia (2-1) fill out the Top 10.

Oklahoma State (3-0), Oklahoma (3-0) and South Carolina (2-1) remain Nos. 11, 12 and 13, respectively. UCLA (3-0) is up one spot to 14th and Miami (Fla.) (3-0) improves two to 15th.

Northwestern (4-0) comes in at 16th again, with Michigan (4-0) in 17th while Baylor (3-0) is up one to 18th, trading spots with No. 19 Florida (2-1). Washington (3-0) stays in the 20th place.

No. 21 Mississippi (3-0) swaps positions with No. 22 Notre Dame (3-1) and Fresno State is up two to 23rd. No. 24 Wisconsin (3-1) and 25th-ranked Texas Tech (4-0) weren't ranked a week ago.

LSU travels to Georgia for an SEC battle between Top 10 teams Saturday. Other games pitting ranked teams against each other, in addition to Mississippi-Alabama (also in the SEC), see Wisconsin going to Ohio State and Oklahoma visiting Notre Dame.
