COL FB: Washington 34, Illinois 24

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Bishop Sankey rushed for 208 yards and scored two touchdowns Saturday, sparking No. 23 Washington over Illinois 34-24.

Sankey carried the ball 35 times with a touchdown and added three receptions for 63 yards and a score for the Huskies (2-0), who came off a bye week with a victory.

Keith Price went 28-of-35 through the air, amassing 342 yards and two touchdowns.

Jesse Callier picked up 66 yards with a TD on six carries for the Huskies.

Nathan Scheelhaase was held to just 156 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception on 9-of-25 efficiency for the Fighting Illini (2-1). Scheelhaase ran for 21 yards and a TD on 12 carries.
